W
Story

I have gotten everyone’s calls, texts, messages etc.. as you can imagine it hasn’t been easy to read them or respond when your hardly with it. So for anyone I haven’t spoken to already here it is : I’m still in the hospital in Milford . I started with contractions Friday evening . Every 20 mins. By Sunday I had had enough and went to the ED. Thankfully I did because they quickly realized that Levis heart was stopping every time I had a contraction and wasn’t breathing at all. My Covid had gotten much worse and destroyed the placento and the baby's heart stopped. they diagnosed me immediately with preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome and did an emergency c section… there was no time to think about anything . In a matter of minutes they were ripping his lifeless body out of me . We never got to see him They took 6 hours to stabilize him & then transported him to Christiana immediately after , unfortunately they didn’t feel safe transporting me because I was "too sick for transport" so I was stuck here trying to recover. They moved me to a different floor for continuous cardiac monitoring around the clock when they noticed I was oxygen dependent and experiencing cardiac distress. Where I’ve been up until today but doped up or asleep… today I took myself off the oxygen and I’m doing much better . I’m able to get up with Ty’s assistance and get to the bathroom with out any nurses. The baby isn’t doing very well so I’m trying to get out of here today or tomorrow if I don’t crash again off oxygen . I haven't been in any type of shape to answer any calls or texts as they have kept me pretty doped up since surgery. He was born on 11/7/21 at 35 weeks and 2 days : at 7:32 pm and weighed 5 lbs 1 oz . He has a chest wall tube in and a breathing tube… they have tried to pull out his breathing tube but he had to go back on as he’s 85% dependent on oxygen at this time . he's undergoing a lot of test because he is having some pretty serious complications with air build up outside his lungs between the lungs and chest cavity wall so they have had to insert a needle into the side of his ribs to pull air off . I'm still waiting for more updates from up north
