Meal love for Grace Oakley

Des Moines, IA

Story

Grace Brockman, as many of you know and love, has recently been diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. In her words, "I have so much to be thankful for and a big challenge ahead. I am thankful for my family, friends, Nick’s village & great neighbors. Tuesday I start radiation therapy & Wednesday chemotherapy for laryngeal cancer, I know it’s not going to be easy but the good news is it has not spread." Grace begins radiation on Tuesday, November 18, and continues on Wednesday, November 19 with chemotherapy treatment. Let's get a meal train started for Grace as soon as Tuesday, November 18. Angela Leonetti and began this meal train as close friends of her son Ryan. We simply want to look after our dear friend's Mom. Grace has impacted all of us in ways we can't express in verbal gratitude. Let's make sure she and Nick have great meals and don't have to worry about that in the coming weeks during her treatment.

Special Notes

While taking a meal to Grace and Nick would be wonderful, as Grace's treatment progresses, she may not be able to eat many things due to the treatment. We suggest sending Grace Grub Hub or similar gift cards so that Grace can order what she is able to eat. Please reach out to Angela or myself if you have any questions.
