Hi from Izzie and me — or rather, from someone who loves us enough to step in and write this, because asking for help has never been easy for me. Life has a way of throwing storms when you’re already treading water. As many of you know, I recently lost my job — a place I poured my heart into — and while I’ve been blessed to start a new one, it’ll be a little while before the paychecks catch up to the bills. In the middle of this transition, I’m doing my best to keep the lights on, keep our little apartment warm, and make sure my daughter Izzie still feels the joy and safety she deserves. She’s my reason for everything. I’m usually the one helping others, but right now, it’s us who could use a bit of kindness. If you’ve ever wanted to know what love looks like in action, it’s a meal left at the door during a week like this.
If you can help, even with just a meal or a kind word, know that it will be felt deeply by both of us — not just in our bellies, but in our hearts. LOVE: lucky charms, ground chicken, pasta sauce, Mac and cheese, milk/ chocolate milk , hamburger helper , hot dogs , cocoa cola, ginger ales, soups. Yogurt , all fruit . Tacos, soft tacos for quesadillas , pickles. Dislikes : all fish, tuna, green beans, red meat like steaks ham steak. Otherwise we are willing to take any and all help.
