CJ has become more accident-prone this year! Most recently they broke their foot and can't help Maya take care of the goats, chickens, or dogs until they can actually walk in 6 weeks. At the moment, they're also not able to put any weight on their foot so getting around the house, driving a vehicle to get groceries, or even standing in the kitchen to cook isn't possible. Maya the superhuman is trying to do all the things while also working, but we could really use some help. Thank you so much for your love and support!! We really appreciate our community and love you a lot.
Please provide food that is vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free (which probably sounds challenging and overwhelming but works well with curries, soups, tacos, enchiladas, rice bowls, etc). If ordering take-out, La Finca Bowls, Itality, and Naruto have been safe bets for us in the past. You'll notice that there are meals needed in both November and December, with a break from meals at the end of November while Maya and CJ are traveling. We put a lot of options for sign-ups to offer maximum flexibility for folks in our community to support. We have a special need for support before November 21 and from December 8-11 while Maya is away. For the most part, CJ is home with their foot elevated so food drop off can happen any time. Please text either CJ (631-466-4421) or Maya (505-933-4744) to coordinate. If CJ is not going to be home or won't be able to answer the door for some window of time they will put a cooler out front that food can be left in. CJ also loves having low-key tea time with friends at home and would welcome (early) evening visitors to share broken foot stories with. (If you are interested in hanging out with Maya the extrovert while she walks the dogs, feeds goats, or does dishes, or if you would like to borrow one or more of our dogs for an outdoor adventure to wear them out so they stop trying to sit on CJs broken foot, please let us know or sign up for Pet Care). Thanks again!
