For so many years, Terri Boyer Hess has dedicated her life to caring for others. As an oncology and bone marrow nurse, she has spent countless hours comforting patients and their families, offering hope during some of their most difficult moments, and providing the compassion and care that only someone with a truly giving heart can provide. Now, Terri is facing a cancer journey of her own—and it’s our turn to care for her. Terri will begin chemotherapy on Thursday, August 13th for an aggressive form of breast cancer. After chemo, she will undergo surgery and radiation. During this challenging time, we would love to surround Terri and her family with the same love and support that she has so freely given to others throughout her career and her life. One simple way we can help is by providing meals and donations, giving her one less thing to worry about as she will be out work while she focuses on her treatment, healing, and spending time with the people she loves. If you are able to provide a meal, a takeout gift card, or have a meal delivered, your kindness will mean so much. Every meal, every gesture, and every message of encouragement is a reminder to Terri that she is not walking this journey alone. Terri has spent her life taking care of others. Now, let’s take care of Terri. ❤️ Thank you for surrounding Terri and her family with love, prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
Terri and Jaycie will be staying with her mom and dad while she is receiving treatment. Gift cards will likely be best as she navigates the side effects of the chemo. They will allow her to purchase things she is in the mood for or needs. There is a list of gift cards under the "WISHLIST" tab. There is also a link to her Venmo account. She will be out of work during treatment and I am certain every little bit will help her out with everyday expenses.
