Its time for another surgery. January 13th is the day as long as everything goes according to plan. As you guys know, I am rollin' with no colon, have my ileostomy and type 1 diabetes. Well, Crohn's Disease decided to bite back and my rectum is extremely inflamed again as well. My body has not responded to meds and im quite overdue to get the diseased parts taken out. This page is to help keep everyone updated in one place and schedule help with details on how/what/where we need it. You know we struggle asking for help, but we also recognize that its necessary. Recovery is going to be intense. Ostomy surgery was the most painful thing I've ever been through and was intense emotionally after the first couple weeks. I will not be able to pick Stryker up for at least 6 weeks. The tentative plan right now is to do everything laparoscopically but we will not know if that's possible until they start the surgery. It should take around 3-5 hours and i will have someone keeping everyone in the know. We are so grateful to have the best support system. PLEASE reach out to me before surgery if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We welcome and appreciate all support and prayers. Big hugs and fierce love, y'all!
I will need childcare help Mon-Thurs from Jan 26 until cleared to lift Stryker. Intense.. but WE ARE GRATEFUL.
