In January of this year I was wrongfully terminated from my job due to sexual harassment gender Discrimination and retaliation during protected activity in the workplace . Subsequently I lost my vehicle and our apartment. We ( 2 of my children and our 2 fur babies) have been homeless on the streets since March 03, 2025. I have gone to all of the shelters, charities, Churches, Housing Authorities. I wrote the state representatives, the governor of Texas and the President. I even posted on Twitter and tagged the President. There is mediation in August. I have applied for emergency assistance as well as emergency housing and have been told I don't meet the criteria. The shelters all have waiting lists of over a year and then you have to be accessed to see how homeless you are to see if you can receive help. With no car and no place for my kids to have a home, even if the over 1,000 jobs I've applied to responded, how would I get there? Where would my kids go? They gave me 3 months snap food stamps of $200. How do You buy groceries if you have no place to keep them or cook them? This is very hard to speak about.
