Hi loved ones, I’m putting this page together because my mom is recovering from right hip replacement surgery, and we need support. She has been dealing with a long, intense stretch of health issues. In addition to this surgery, she has multiple chronic and autoimmune conditions, and in recent months she also went through a breast biopsy and a lung biopsy that resulted in a histoplasmosis diagnosis. It has been a lot for her body, and a lot for us. I’m currently her sole unpaid caregiver, which means I’m managing her care, the household, logistics, meals, and the emotional weight of all of this as we move through recovery day by day. Right now, the biggest need is practical support that helps take some pressure off: meals, care items, and help covering the everyday stuff that piles up when you’re in survival mode. We’re deeply grateful for every kind of support, whether that’s sending a meal, contributing to essentials, or sharing this page. Thank you for helping us feel less alone in this.
Please read before sending support: Meals: • Must be gluten free • Meat should be chicken or fish only • Not spicy • Gentle, simple meals are best Home/environment: • We need things coming into the home to be as toxin free / fragrance conscious as possible • Please avoid heavily scented products, artificial sprays, harsh cleaners, etc. Visits: • She is not able to handle visits right now • We’re grateful for love from a distance while she rests and stabilizes Other: • Practical support is the most helpful right now • Please don’t feel pressure to make things perfect — ease, nourishment, and low-tox support mean the most
