Hi everyone. I’m keeping this within our close circle of family and friends because this isn’t something CJ and Sema would ever ask for themselves. On Sunday, CJ was doing something as simple as hanging a shelf, just trying to make their house feel a little more like home, when he accidentally drilled into a sprinkler line. Within minutes, their home flooded, leaving CJ, Sema and the kids displaced. Right now they’re staying in a hotel, living out of bags and paying for meals, lodging and everyday expenses out of pocket while they wait for insurance to determine what happens next. If you know CJ, you know the kind of man he is. He is hard working, most kind-hearted person, a loving dad and partner who is always willing to show up for the people around him. CJ and Sema are the kind of people who would much rather be the ones helping than the ones needing help. A few of us wanted to quietly surround them with a little love while they navigate the uncertainty of the next few weeks, possibly months so I’ve created a Give InKind page for anyone who would like to help with a meal, gift card or some of the unexpected day-to-day expenses that come with suddenly being displaced. As long as CJ, Sema and the kids have me, they will never go without, I’ll always make sure of that. But sometimes even the people who have a strong support system can use a few extra hands around them. A little help right now would simply make an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation a little easier to carry. There is absolutely no obligation. A message, prayer, meal, or simply reminding them that they have people around them means just as much. I’m just hoping we can make this season a little lighter for CJ, Sema and the kids. ❤️ Please keep this within our circle for now. Thank you for loving them.
