From Sam's FB: So want to start out thanking everyone for thoughts, prayers, reaching out, money donations, food, support, help with the kids and whatever else im forgetting!!! We have the absolute best family and friends and community ever!! 🥰🥰 Back to last Wednesday night April 30th, Herb and I laid our sweet babies down for the night. Herb went into cardiac arrest, I did CPR until the cop came and took over, then the ambulance got there and performed, they administered 2 shocks to his heart. Herb was flown to Gunderson, because of a storm cell over Rochester we couldn't go to Mayo. Got to Gunderson he was intubated and got to the ICU floor pretty quick because his vitals were stable. Thursday in LaCrosse he had a good day so out of the ICU went. Friday they were figuring out after many heart tests that his rhythm of his heart is the cause of the problem so Friday they placed an AICD which is a defibrillator that will shock his heart if it goes out of rhythm, while they were placing that they knicked his heart which caused it to start bleeding and fluid to build up. A drain was placed, he came back up to his room on the general floor and he was in a lot of pain, so Friday night they were trying to control his pain most of the night. Saturday morning he broke out in a sweat, was feeling very nauseous, I called his nurse in she checked his blood pressure it was very low so ICU nurse came down, Dr's ordered fluid to pushed in him, and back to the ICU went, a central line and art line were placed and then we were told an impella was going to be placed and he was transferring to another hospital that ending up to be Fredtert in Milwaukee Wisconsin because they had a bed available first. He was airlifted to Milwaukee and placed in the ICU. Sunday he had a good day vitals were good and he ended up getting the impella out! Monday he has another great day vitals staying good got up in a chair and sat. Tuesday was another great day with lots of progress he got his art line, central line, catheter and that drain were all removed today and he moved out of the ICU to a step down floor!! Wednesday, he is home! God is good, prayers have been wonderful and we are so so thankful Herb is making great progress and we hope to be home to our kiddos soon we miss them terribly! ❤️ thank you to everyone your all wonderful
