On December 29, Stephanie underwent brain surgery to remove a small tumor after several weeks of migraines and vision changes. Following visits with multiple doctors, she went to the ER, where imaging led to surgery to relieve the pressure causing her symptoms. The surgery was very successful. Stephanie is now home and recovering over the next several weeks, with doctor’s orders for lots of rest, no heavy lifting, and minimal bending. Her mom will be staying with the family for a bit to help during recovery, but it’s still a busy household. Pathology results will take some time, so no follow-up appointment has been scheduled yet. We’ll share updates as we know more. In the meantime, support in the form of meals, snacks, or gift cards is greatly appreciated. You can choose a date that works for you on the Care Calendar below to support in this way. To protect healing and minimize infection—especially with so much illness going around—we’re not able to host visitors right now.
Please, no shellfish as there is a shellfish allergy in the family.
