A few weeks ago, our lives changed in a way we never saw coming. Connie went to the emergency room struggling to breathe after being evaluated, was sent home on full-time oxygen. While we believed she was on the road to recovery, just a few days later everything took a devastating turn. At 1:30 in the morning, my mom suffered a sudden heart attack at home. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and spent several days under close medical care. During that time, she once again began struggling to breathe and went into cardiac arrest. She was without a heartbeat for approximately five minutes before doctors were able to revive her. Because of the severity of her condition, she has now been placed in a medically induced coma as doctors work tirelessly to stabilize her and determine the next steps in her care. They determined she needed open heart surgery to replace a valve that leaking. They perform the surgery they said everything went well. The day after the surgery is over Connie is talking with loved ones . On That Saturday (2 days ) after surgery Connie is showing signs of confusion and unable to speak. Doctors tell my step dad to call in the family. It’s has now been nearly two months and everything has been working against her with test that have ran being in the critical stage. She is now on kidney dialysis my stepdad and my mother live in Virginia like clockwork every day that man is there. He drives 45 minutes one way each day for nearly almost 2 months now I’m asking for help for him as well as my mom. This has been so much on him.
