As many of you may know, our dear Cara has been facing some health challenges for the past month. On 12/26 Cara underwent an MRI, which revealed a bilateral brain bleeds. She was quickly admitted to the ICU at Buffalo General, where she received excellent care. On 12/29, she underwent an angiogram and a repair procedure for one of the affected areas. Unfortunately, the other area was too risky to treat right now due to potential vision concerns. On 12/30 she had the drains removed and the morning of 12/31 she underwent another CT scan which was stable and she was finally able to go home. While we are all keeping our fingers crossed for her speedy recovery, it’s still unclear when she’ll be able to return to her usual activities and work. She has restrictions that limit what she should and should not be doing for th at least the next 10 days. On top of this, her husband has been out of work since Friday as well, and his return to work is uncertain at this time.
If you’d like me to drop dinner off at her house or pass along a gift card, you’re welcome to stop by the office or leave it there—I’d truly be happy to get it to her. Please no sick visitors
