Journey Together with Lillie's Fight Against Ovarian Cancer

Story

Hi everyone! Not sure where to begin or how to begin. No one ever wants to start a page like this, but here it goes. Our parents live in Sarasota Florida while we (their children all live in Ohio) Our Momma was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. She had a Hysterectomy many, many years ago but they left her Ovary. Since being diagnosed things have moved pretty quickly, from biopsies, scans, bloodwork, you name she's had it done. The cancer has caused Ascites Fluid to build up in her abdomen causing alot of pressure on her organs and lungs making breathing difficult at times. She has already been in the hospital to have Paracentesis Treatment which is a procedure to have the fluid drained from her abdomen, which they have drained approximately 15 pounds of fluid during each procedure. The cancer is in her left Ovary, two lymph nodes and she has a foot long mass in her abdomen. The plan was to do surgery but they have decided to do weekly Chemotherapy treatments to shrink it then surgery and possibly more chemotherapy afterwards. Thankfully while we were in Florida with them they decided to put in a port which has made in much easier on her veins, they can administer her Chemotherapy and take blood draws through her port. Her Chemotherapy treatments make her very tired. Thankfully my sister and I went down to Florida and helped to get a few things situated prior to her starting Chemotherapy and made a couple trays of food to portion out and freeze before we had to head back home. Since the Chemotherapy makes her very tired and my Dad is definitely not a cook lol we would love to get help with providing some meal gift cards for them so my Dad doesn't live off of Peanut Butter Sandwiches lol
