This page was started as a way to assist Laurie, Gilton and Alex during Laurie’s cancer fight. Laurie was the primary caregiver in the family and now, due to the return of her cancer, she is unable to tend to her home, family and beloved cats. Many of her family and friends have been asking about ways to be of service to the Bolanos family. Gilton spends night and day taking care of the love of his life…he is an amazing husband, taking such amazing care of Laurie. Gilton cannot run the house, cook, clean, take care of Laurie and himself at the same time, he is exhausted. He wants with all his being to do everything but in order to take care of Laurie, we need to help take care of him. We have listed some areas on the calendar of need. If anyone can assist in any way with meals, cleaning, overnight care, etc. It would be greatly appreciated. We are also trying to limit the people who come at any given time to visit Laurie as these visits can be tiring. Laurie wants to visit with anyone who wants to come but with her speech limitations, outside appointments, etc. we just want to schedule things to give her down time. If a time for visitation is not available…she may have an outside appointment or another commitment.
