Hi everyone, I’m Latresa Fisher, and as my sweet child Joy’s birthday approaches, I find myself reflecting on what true joy really means for our family. Joy’s name isn’t just a title—it’s who they are. Every single day, Joy brings light, laughter, and endless warmth into my life. But as a parent, my biggest dream is to give Joy something every child deserves: a place to truly put down roots and live freely. Right now, we are living in a rented home. While we are immensely grateful to have a roof over our heads, rental living comes with limits. There’s always the uncertainty of lease renewals, strict rules on how we can use the space, and the constant feeling that this isn't really ours.
