Story
Welcome Friends and Family! As Baby Pendell will be arriving soon, Derek and Ivy are looking forward to welcoming their bundle of JOY into the world! We all know how exciting and challenging these first few weeks can be so, I thought it would be a nice idea for us to support them in their first weeks of parenthood. Please join me and celebrate Derek & Ivy as they welcome their baby and transition to a family of 9 (yes, their 8 fur-babies count too)! Let's show our LOVE and SUPPORT by sending some help their way! I thought creating this might be the easiest option to offer support leading up to and once the baby arrives. They will be able to update their needs as they come. There will be sign-ups available for: -Home-cooked meals -Restaurant Take-Out Meals -Restaurant Gift Cards for the Parents to use when they need some extra love. -Gift Cards to help maintain their household items, and their fur-baby family members. -Cash App Donations -Venmo Donations -Misc. help needed... Thank you for your generosity and for joining me in welcoming Baby Pendell and Derek & Ivy Pendell!
Special Notes
Please select the date and meal you'd like to help out starting from the EARLIEST available. You'll be given the option to purchase a gift card to fulfill the meal. You are more than welcome to sign-up for multiple meals and days! Please remember, if you are NOT feeling well, avoid dropping off or preparing meals! Here are some tips: -Bring your meal in disposable or reusable containers that you don’t need back. -This is one less thing for them to worry about. -Try using the disposable aluminum baking tins that come with lids because they’re easy to find at any grocery store. -Include reheating instructions for dishes that should be served warm. -The best meals are ones that don’t require assembling! -Meals that are brought over hot or already prepped (like a mixed salad) are awesome because they can simply plate and enjoy! *Instead of asking what you should bring, give them 2-3 ideas so they can pick which they’re most excited about. *** PLEASE, don’t expect to come inside or hold the baby! *** -Unless otherwise requested, plan to drop off the meal on the porch and text them letting them know it’s there. -If they do invite you in, please don’t stay longer than 10-15 minutes. -You can always ask about scheduling another time to visit and hold the baby. The new parents like to eat all kinds of food, both home-cooked and from neighborhood restaurants.
