Warriors for Troy

W
Story

This story is about our hero, our mentor, our rock. Troy Rapier wasn't just a normal person in life - he was the life! He was the joy and spirit of our family until brain cancer stole him away. He courageously faced over a twenty month battle with the most brutal and unforgiving cancer out there - glioblastoma. Not many win that battle, but he thankfully had more time than the average. He went through hell and back yet was able to hold onto his true self until the end. From his witty one liners, his smart ass personality, and his love for his family and friends - he let us know he was still in there, even when he couldn't speak any longer. He was a strong brave soul who was loved by so many. Cancer may have taken his life but it did not take his spirit. It will live on forever because nothing can truly put his light out. H Troy and I had been married for 26.5 years and even though some days he drove me crazy, I now realize that it would never be enough time with him. The hole in our hearts is a dark reminder of the light that was taken from us. Our 4 amazing young adult kids (and myself) have endured college, new careers, and the adversities of life during the past 20 months. We put our lives on hold to take care of Troy and to make the best of the horrible situation. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their generosity in helping us get through this time. It is not easy trying to navigate the world without the Captain and we find ourselves having to relearn our way of life. So these donations and meals will greatly help take some stress off from dinners and groceries. We can't thank you enough. Troy would be happy to know that his great deeds of helping others is being repaid to his family in our time of need. God bless.

Special Notes

We don't really have food allergies. Aiden is allergic to some fruits but he is aware of what he can eat or what to avoid. We are not picky eaters. We just don't like olives. Thank you again!
