For those of you who don’t know what Chiari Malformation is; Chiari Malformation is a structural defect where brain tissue extends into the spinal cord because the skull base is too small (AKA her brain is too big). Because of this Malformation she has now developed a syrinx which is a fluid-filled cyst within the spinal cord. This surgery should help Kaycee feel normal again and be able to get back to doing all the things with her family without having a constant head ache and worrying about what might happen next. Her recovery is supposed to be about 6weeks, so if you would like to make and/or bring her and her family dinner to help out during her recovery that would be greatly appreciated!!
