    Supporting the Hilsher family

    Houston, TX

    Story

It’s never easy to ask for help, but sometimes we have to do things that are uncomfortable but necessary! As some of you know, but many don’t, I have struggled with anorexia for most of my life. I have been “in and out” of recovery for a long time, but my recovery has been jeopardized more recently. The two GI surgeries I have had in the past year have exacerbated the eating disorder and what was somewhat dormant has put my medical stability at risk. My treatment team has recommended that I enter a residential facility that can both help me with my eating disorder and also with my ongoing GI issues. The thought of leaving my family has been very difficult, but it’s something I must do. I want to have some support in place for both Scott and the girls before I leave. I know my family, and of course myself, would be so grateful for any support you are able to provide! And of course prayers are always welcome! I will update this page as things progress! Thank you for taking the time to read this rather long and drawn out message!!
