Hello friends! For those of you who are new to my story, my name is Tiffany, and I’m undergoing surgery on July 7, 2025. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disorder, bulging and herniated discs, bone spurs pressing on those discs, and narrowing of my spinal cord. After a long and challenging medical journey, my doctors have determined that surgery is the best course of action. Thankfully, there’s a newer, advanced procedure available for my situation. Instead of the traditional spinal fusion, I will be having a disc replacement surgery. This involves removing the problematic discs and arthritis in the area and replacing them with prosthetic discs. Many friends have asked how they can help, and while I’m still learning what the recovery process will look like, I know that I won’t be able to lift, bend, or twist for at least 6 weeks to 3 months post-surgery. My amazing wife Anna starts a new job on July 8, so I would greatly appreciate any assistance with day-to-day tasks during the initial recovery period. Meal or grocery support would also be a tremendous help as we navigate this time.
I am allergic to eggs (anything baked with eggs in or with traces of eggs are ok, but I could not eat just scrambled eggs), I do like spicy food quite a bit (Anna does not), sorry no beans or mushrooms please, big fan of chicken!!
