Helpings for Hodges

Garber, OK

Story

The Hodges family has spent their lives pouring into their community with faith, love, and service. They are a clear about their love of God and showing how Jesus loved and served by always putting the needs of others before their own. Many in our community know Coach Hodges as the head baseball coach at Garber. This year, he also stepped up as the softball coach—leading the team to a district championship! His heart for mentoring students, shaping young athletes, and building strong teams goes far beyond the field. His wife, Heather, has always been the quiet strength behind it all. She insisted on organizing team dinners, believing that breaking bread together built more than teams—it built family. Her servant’s heart has touched countless students, parents, and friends throughout the time they have lived in Garber. Now, this family who has faithfully served others is walking through a difficult season of their own. Heather has faced numerous health challenges. While Coach Hodges continues to guide and mentor our kids on the field, he is also caring for his wife, their two boys, and taking on the countless roles and responsibilities that come with running a household. This is a family that has given so much to us—and now it’s our turn to give back. By providing a meal, you’re not just easing a burden, you’re showing the Hodges family that they are surrounded by a community that loves and supports them. Let’s rally together to bless the people who have blessed so many of us. If you want to help bless those that have blessed so many please consider providing an easy dump and go crock pot meal, a heat and serve casserole, a hot meal ready for the table or a gift card for them to use as they need.

Special Notes

The boys are growing and really like simple and hearty meals. Nothing too fancy, spicy or complex. Think meat and potatoes, when it comes to making those tummies happy! Heather is gluten free but said not to worry about her dietary restrictions, she just wants her family to have ready to heat and eat meals. **When visiting or delivering, use double white doors.
