Hi everyone — Karen is officially home recovering and, in her words, “feeling a little better each day.” Which is excellent news, because she has already beaten cancer and would now probably like to move on to less ambitious hobbies. After major surgery, Karen will be mostly homebound for the next couple of months while she heals. Her sister is there until Friday, and now it’s our turn to help carry the load a bit. As many of you know, Karen somehow manages to be: - a doctor who takes care of everyone else, a RUEDA dancer with more stamina than people half her age, a world traveler, a devoted mother, and a great lover of life, people, animals, food, and adventure. At the moment, however, her primary job is: sitting still and letting other people help her. Frankly, this may be her greatest challenge yet! So we’re organizing meals, errands, treats, check-ins, (dog-walking service?), and small acts of kindness to help make recovery easier (and hopefully less boring). Karen is at: 45 Grozier Road Cambridge, MA If you’d like to participate, please sign up for a meal, send a gift card, drop off soup, flowers, pastries, books, puzzles, gossip, or anything that says: “We love you and we’re here.” Most importantly: Karen is cancer free. And that deserves all the love, carbs, and celebration we can send her way. ❤️
