June 29, 2017 - Hank and Elissa had their first date, then on July 13th Hank found out he had cancer(11days after starting to date). He tried to do the manly thing and give Elissa an out, he told her she could walk away, no hard feelings. Obviously that didn't happen. On November 25, 2018 Hank and Elissa were married a month after Hank had his second major resection. At that point he had gone through a 6-week course of chemo pills daily along with radiation, a hospital stay for an infection, numerous scans, blood work and various out patient procedures/ tests, along with 8 weeks of IV chemo and changing surgeons to City of Hope. However, nothing could stop Hank and Elissa from enjoying their honeymoon to Italy, not even an ileostomy bag along for the ride. Over the last few years Hank has gone through more chemo, radiation, scans, tests and blood draws than we ever thought possible. We can't thank you all enough for your continued support and love for us through these years.
