Without warning, our beloved friend, father, and husband Owen Hemsath suffered a debilitating and acute respiratory failure leaving him unable to breathe, walk, or eat, without assistance. As such Owen has made the extremely painful decision to take a sabbatical from work and focus on recovery. He is unable to work and his disability benefits are barely enough to cover one trip to Costco. With humility, we have started this page to ask for your support in providing for the Hemsath family. This page is connected to a GoFundMe where you can donate once or monthly. Please consider a monthly gift. But we’ve also connected a place to donate gift cards, groceries, meals, and various items of need. Some items of need are for Owens hobbies as he literally has nothing to do all day but sit around and get better. So we’ve included items like gardening supplies and various tools that would bless his mind and body. Meal trains are wonderful but not as essentially needed - grocery runs and Costco hauls are humbly suggested. Forgive our transparency and straight-forwardness. This is hard to write. We worked hard for 16 years to build a business that would take care of us but one medical emergency after another has wiped us out. We’ve honored and blessed our country with our taxes and loyalty but when we needed help, our county had nothing to give us. We’re hurt and this journey will be the hardest we’ve ever endured. My grandfather once told me: “never deny someone the opportunity to serve you.” It is with great humility that we do that now. Thank you.
