Supporting the McLendon's is just a small way for us to come together to show our love and support for Bobby, Cathe, Chad, Stacey, Justin, and Ashley! Bobby has to undergo dialysis 3 days a week and he recently fractured his hip. The doctors decided surgery was not an option for Bobby and while it is healing and he is now able to move around with the help of a walker, he still needs assistance with getting around. Cathe, his wife, has been his main caregiver. However, Cathe has recently come down with a very bad staph infection under her arm which spread into her bloodstream. She is currently hospitalized receiving very strong antibiotics. She also has a 4" incision under her arm which is very painful. Cathe will be in the hospital several more days. During this time, the sons, Chad and Justin, have taken on the role of caregivers for Bobby while Stacey and Ashley take care of Cathe. This is very exhausting on the entire family! The first question everyone is asking is, "How can we help?" The first way you can help is PRAYER! Pray for healing, for strength that their bodies continue fighting, strength for the family in caregiver roles. Pray that God just lay his hand upon them and give them peace that surpasses all understanding! Second, you can help by preparing or sponsoring a meal, sending gift cards for meal purchases, etc.
As both of their immune systems are compromised, the family is asking that visits are brief or limited.
