Hi everyone! I had a major surgery on 8/25 and am now resting up and beginning the recovery process. Everything went smoothly, and I’m feeling really grateful to be on the mend! Because my surgeon has put me on strict physical lifting restrictions, I will need to take around 6 weeks of unpaid leave from my physically demanding care job in order to heal properly. While I'm looking forward to taking this time to focus on my health, needing to take so much time off brings some real financial and logistical challenges. I’m setting up this page to give friends, family, and my broader communities a centralized spot to help out while I recover. After that, I won’t need medical help, but I’ll still be pretty laid up for the first few weeks while I recover. If you’re local and would like to visit, watch a movie, bring a snack, take a gentle walk together once I’m cleared, or just keep me company, I would love that.
