Supporting the Hall Family

Granite Bay, CA

Story

From Kevin: The morning after Halloween (Nov. 1), we were having breakfast at home when Gia suddenly had a glazed look, lost consciousness, and began turning blue. We thought she was choking, and I had to perform CPR on her until the ambulance arrived. She was taken to Sutter Children’s Center downtown, where the teams have been running a series of tests and procedures to figure out what is happening. It looks like a combination of a floppy airway (tracheomalacia) and two underlying viruses caused her to stop breathing properly. Thankfully, she’s awake now, talking, laughing, and being her silly self again, though she’s still in the ICU and needs a small amount of oxygen to help keep her levels stable because she can’t on her own yet. And in the middle of all this, Lindsey went into labor at the same hospital, and on November 8th our baby boy was born! Mama and baby are healthy and doing great! This week tested me in ways I’ve never imagined. I couldn’t have made it through without trusting in God. We are beyond grateful for the incredible doctors and nurses caring for both Lindsey and our kids, and the overwhelming love and support from our friends and family. Hoping we can bring everyone home soon and put this all behind us 🙏🏼
