Maurice has been a cornerstone of our workplace community, always ready with a warm greeting and a helping hand for anyone who needs it. His genuine kindness and willingness to support others have made him not just a valued colleague but a true friend to so many of us. When we learned that Maurice would undergo prostate cancer surgery on May 12th, it felt natural for our community to come together and support him during his recovery. As Maurice focuses on healing and regaining his strength, we're organizing an in-kind support effort to help ease some of the daily burdens that can feel overwhelming during recovery. Whether it's preparing meals that he and his family can simply heat and enjoy, helping with household tasks that might be difficult while he's recovering, or providing transportation to follow-up medical appointments, every bit of assistance allows Maurice to concentrate on what matters most right now—his health and well-being. Maurice has always been the first person to check in when someone is struggling, to offer encouragement when we're facing challenges, and to celebrate our successes alongside us. Now it's our turn to show him the same compassion and care he's shown us time and again. By contributing whatever we can—whether it's time, a meal, or simply being available when needed—we can help Maurice through this challenging time and remind him that he's surrounded by people who care deeply about him. His presence has enriched our professional and personal lives, and supporting him now is our way of expressing our gratitude and friendship.
