Our amazing friend, Tonya Archie, truly is a real-life Wonder Woman. On her way to school to teach her third graders on August 26th, Tonya suffered a stroke. Even while battling vision loss and facial drooping, she somehow found the strength and determination to drive herself safely to the hospital. That’s Tonya! Brave, selfless, and always pushing forward. She is now home from rehab, but the road to recovery is far from over. Tonya is still dealing with vision challenges and, for now, is unable to drive. She has to attend frequent occupational therapy appointments and, per doctor’s orders, won’t be able to return to the classroom until January. On top of that, she’s balancing the needs of her daughter, medical visits, and a household now running on just one income. Tonya has given so much of herself to her students, her family, and her community. Now it’s our turn to be there for her. Every donation will go directly toward helping with medical bills, child care, transportation, and everyday expenses so she can focus on healing and regaining her strength.
