💜 Hope Over Hodgkin’s - Prayers and Support for Kate🙏

Rockford, MI

Story

💜 Kate’s Care Page: Hope, Faith & Support Our brave and beautiful Kate was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. On July 23rd she had surgery to place her port and began her first round of chemotherapy. Through it all, Kate has shown incredible strength, grace, and courage. This month was supposed to mark a joyful new chapter—Kate’s first year at Saint Mary’s College, alongside her sister Claire, who’s beginning her senior year. It was meant to be their one year together on campus, a special year they’ve both been looking forward to for so long. Now, instead of move-in plans and new memories, Kate is facing a fight that no young student should have to endure. But she is not facing it alone. She is surrounded by love, faith, and an army of supporters who are lifting her and her family—Claire, Dan, and Shannon—in prayer. As Kate continues treatment, we’d love to lighten their load in small, meaningful ways—especially when it comes to meals and moments of comfort. 💌 How You Can Help Many of you have asked how to support the family during this time. Here are a few ways that would be deeply appreciated: 🎁 Gift Cards for Meals or Groceries Chemotherapy has caused a lot of food aversions, and her appetite can change by the minute. Dan and Shannon are often heading out at a moment’s notice to find something she can tolerate. Grubhub, DoorDash, Starbucks, or Meijer gift cards help them care for Kate without added stress. 🍽️ Meal Delivery Dan’s workplace is generously providing dinner on Wednesdays. We’ll organize a few additional meals at a later time to ease their evenings, but gift cards are the best way to keep things flexible. 🙏 Cards, Notes, or Prayers Every word of encouragement means so much. Feel free to leave a message, a Bible verse, or even a simple “thinking of you” to surround Kate and her family with strength and hope. (scroll to the bottom of the page to leave Kate a message). Kate has been proudly displaying all the cards she’s received on her Wall of Support, a beautiful reminder that she is deeply loved and never alone. Feel free to add to it — your kindness truly lifts her spirits. Cards can be mailed to: Kate Ferguson 2961 Saddle Ridge Drive NE Rockford, MI 49341 Thank you for being part of her village. 💌🙏 We know God is walking with Kate through this valley, and we trust in His healing and goodness. Thank you for being part of this journey—with your prayers, your kind hearts, and your generosity. Let’s continue to lift Kate in prayer and surround her with the love she needs to keep fighting. 💜 Follow Kate’s journey on tik tok https://www.tiktok.com/@kate_ferguson12

Special Notes

Kate does not have any food allergies. Due to chemo side effects, Kate has developed a sensitivity to metal, including a strong aversion to foods stored in metal containers. Meals or snacks kept in glass, plastic, or paper containers are much more manageable for her.
