We Heart Kenley

Edmonds, WA

W
Story

After a month and a half of unexplained chest pain, we finally got an answer when Kenley had a big heart attack on May 3rd. It was a STEMI in LAD with 100% blockage, requiring emergency surgery to place two stents in their left ventricle. We are very lucky that we were already in the urgent care when the heart attack occurred, because many people lose their lives during an event like this. They stayed at Swedish hospital for 4 days and are still recovering, working bit by bit to build up their strength and stamina. All of this has been overwhelming, and Kenley has also developed stress-induced shingles. Kenley can’t wait to get back to the classroom, but it will take a little time and recovery. Kenley’s husband Max has been doing his best to keep us afloat and provide anything that Kenley might need, which has been extra difficult while dealing with chronic pain and taking care of his own complicated health concerns. We are so grateful we have so many people who have offered to support us, and this page is a way to gather those resources and will hopefully be convenient for our friends and loved ones to access.

Special Notes

Please no spicy foods! Kenley’s husband Max is gluten free, but we are open to receiving gluten-y foods as long as they are labeled. The most convenient support is money towards Kenley and Max selecting their own food via delivery services. CareCard, Visa, Cash App, and Venmo are all good ways to do this.
