Johnny was born on October 4, 1932, in Louisville, Georgia to the late John Henry and Minnie Lee Powell. Johnny was preceded in death by three sisters, Rebecca Georgia Hargrove, Corine Blount and Janie Ruth Jenkins. Johnny is survived by his better half, Evelyn Delores Brookins Powell; his children, Eric Powell (Tonya), and Lakisha Powell Robinson; two grandchildren, Lael Brandon Powell and Ivory Brielle Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
