Our nation rests more divided and confused than it has been in more than 150 years. No matter the set of political ideals we find ourselves drawn to, we are made to feel the alternative viewpoint is not only wrong, but dangerous and evil. We Christ followers should not shrink back from engaging in the democratic process as we are citizens of these United States. However, his allegiance first resides with the Kingdom of Heaven. As such, our Hope has a name. His name is Jesus Christ. Our Hope is not in a political affiliation, party or candidate. Thus, we pray with all fervor that our fellow citizens will be found in Christ, our one Hope. Additionally, we should know the issues, the platforms and the policies and make an informed vote.
