My name is Bethany. Pete and Kara are my best friends. Mothers day of 2025 Pete was diagnosed with glioblastoma. A very aggressive form of brain cancer that is terminal. Pete has gone through all of the recommended treatments since then, working as a utility locator through all of it. His wife, Kara, is not able to work at this time as she is working on bettering her mental health (something proving to be very difficult given what is going on). Things took a major turn for the worse this past weekend. Pete was talking about things that didn't make sense and not his usual self. He spent a few days in the hospital. When he was released, the hospital had told him there were no changes. When he spoke with his Dr on Wednesday they received some devastating news. Pete's tumor is growing, despite treatments. He has now been given up to 3 months left to live, and has been taken out of work. Pete and Kara both deserve to spend the rest of his days loving each other and focusing on each other. I think a good way to help them would be a meal train. They are having a difficult time already with wanting to eat, let alone actually cooking something.
