Father of Four Passed, Family in Need

Garland, TX

Story

As many know my husband Brad cook passed away in April. We have four children together and Brad's passing was an enormous tragedy as he was so very loved by so many and so involved in his children's lives and in mine. As was his wish I was a stay-at-home mom for most of our marriage spending time with him caring for him and raising our four children while he went through cancer treatment. It was a tough time for everyone and my relationship with his family went through some very rocky patches but I never expected for them to force evict me and our four children right before the start of school with five days notice or to sue me in three separate courts. Nevertheless I have tried to hold my head high and move forward and trust god. We now have a home in Garland and have more or less started our new lives in the city which is a huge change after living in the country the past 11 years for both myself and the children. All of our animals are gone and our garden and trees that we grew are back at the farm. My own medical complications, moving expenses, attorney expenses, and Brad's leftover medical expenses have really taken their toll on our finances and we are so appreciative of any help or support that you all continue to give thank you so much and may God bless and keep you.
