Linda has recently been diagnosed with a rare cancer that requires her to undergo immediate surgery and radiation treatment. Her surgery is scheduled for March 4th. Her hospital stay should be fairly short but healing will be a 4-6 weeks followed by radiation 5 days a week for another 6 weeks. The support of friends, family, co-workers and colleagues means so much during times like these. We understand many are wanting to help. We would like to offer several meaningful ways you can provide for the family as they navigate this period. We will use this website as much as possible to share ideas with you all. Also Linda will have a care binder at home on her kitchen island for those who chose to visit and also want to know what her needs might be. Thank you so much in advance for all the love.
If you are not sure what to do but want to help, we have created an Amazon list "Payne Management" with some items for her and the family. Additional helpful and appreciated gestures are below; Pets- Help with dogs - they need to be played with and/or walked. Food- Since Linda's eating habits will be changing dramatically most foods will need to be high in protein, liquid and/or soft. Smoothies, yogurts, soups. Linda has always appreciated fresh eggs and should still be a great food to eat. Her amazon list will be updated to include new items as needed. Gift cards for gas and grocery stores for her future appointments and meals are great for those who just want to help but aren't sure how to show their love. Thank you for any love and care you show to Linda. From all of her family ~ We appreciate you from the depths of our hearts. *Social Visits - Since Linda is not sure how she will feel during the first parts of her recovery we ask that you text before stopping by. Someone should be home with her and able to respond. *Leave a Message* The bottom of the page has a message board that can be used for sending care, kindness and all messages of support.
