Hi everyone 💛 It's Jenna, or JB, or Brower (depending on how you know me). I’ve likely been living with endometriosis since I was about 14 years old. For much of my life, I’ve dealt with recurring, often intense pain and many trips to the ER without clear answers. It’s been a long and sometimes confusing journey, but I’m finally at a point where I have a path forward. My doctors have recommended laparoscopic surgery, which will help provide a definitive diagnosis and treat what they can. During the procedure, they’ll also be removing a polyp that showed up on a recent scan. Depending on what they find, it’s possible they may need to remove additional tissue, potentially even my appendix, if it’s been affected. While there’s still some uncertainty, I’m feeling hopeful that this surgery will bring long-awaited answers and a clearer road to healing. As I prepare for surgery and recovery, I’m realizing how important it is to slow down and allow myself to rest. That’s not always easy for me, so I’m learning to accept help when it’s offered. If you’re able, supporting us with a meal or groceries during my recovery would mean so much! It would help take a little pressure off so I can focus on healing. Thank you for being here, for your kindness, and for any support you’re able to give. 💛 With gratitude, Jenna (and Phil)
I'd prefer more appetizer foods and girl dinner items. Small meals will probably be my life. I'm thinking anti-inflammatory will be best given the nature of the surgery. But, I'm not picky for most things, just probably not spicy.
