Vera Rose came into our lives first thing Monday morning, Aug. 1st. Julie had contractions just before midnight, laboring into the peaceful solitude of the night. Sean called his mom, who came over and swooped Anika into her arms and back to Grammy’s house. Anika sweetly asked if Vera was coming tonight. Grammy replied, I think so! The labor was relatively quick and smooth, which does not equate to any less work. The amount of effort it took to bring all 9lbs and 2ozs of Baby Vera was nothing shy of the miracle it takes to birth a baby. And at 3:04am, with some tugs of love done by her midwives, Vera Rose blessed us with her strength and sweetness. Baby and Mama are happy and healthy and looking forward to when Vera can meet each one of you. With love and full hearts, Julie, Sean, Anika, & Vera
