Rachel Molloy - Strong Like Rachel 🩷

Pasadena, MD

Story

Rachel Molloy is 35 years young and was diagnosed in September 2025 with an invasive and aggressive form of breast cancer. Specifically, she has Triple Negative Breast Cancer or TNBC (stage 1). Rachel undergoes chemotherapy treatments every 3 weeks due to being in a clinical trial at her designated hospital in Baltimore City, MD. While she thankfully gets to avoid the "red devil" type of chemotherapy, her treatments can be very draining both mentally and physically. Her side effects are the most intense the day after and the subsequent 4-5 days after the treatment. Rachel has undergone 3 treatments to date, but will continue to fight her cancer battle during the next upcoming months. As she continues to receive her chemotherapy, her side effects will worsen each time. This means that she will be feeling her worst during the winter holiday season and will potentially be unable to work. In addition to battling cancer, she is also a wife and mother of 3 boys (all under the age of 6). She is still working full-time as her family relies on both her and her husband's income. Please consider supporting Rachel and her family by signing up for 1 or more of her meal train slots. There are a string of dates available for the months of November and December (2025), and January (2026). By donating food in person, arranging for meal delivery, and/or donating a food type gift card, you can help alleviate one of the main daily burdens during this time of need. Before you sign up for a slot, please review the "special notes/dietary restrictions" section of this page. Rachel does have a couple dietary restrictions at this time. If you have any questions in regards to Rachel's meal train, please contact Amber Wilkins (meal train coordinator) at [email protected]. Thank you for your support & happy holidays! πŸ€—β›„πŸŽ„πŸ¦ƒπŸ™πŸ©·πŸ’ͺ🏼

Special Notes

Rachel has been a strict pescatarian since she was 15 years old (circa 2005). This means that she only eats seafood (fish, crab, shrimp, lobster, etc.). She does not eat "land meat", such as poultry, pork, lamb, and/or red meat. Her husband and 3 babies do not have any dietary restrictions at this time. Please keep in mind that Rachel's diet will need to be low acid and semi-bland as she is undergoing her treatments. Things to avoid are red sauces and hot/spicy items. We will update any further dietary items to avoid as Rachel's diet may change as she continues her treatment journey.
