Jordan's Cancer Journey

Tacoma, WA

W
Story

Hi everyone, my name is Kai, but most of you know me as Jordan. I’m writing this because I’ve hit a crossroad I never thought I’d have to face again. At just 39 years young, I am fighting lung cancer for the second time. While I am staying as strong as I can, the reality of this second diagnosis is physically and financially overwhelming. Right now, my biggest hurdle is simply getting to the care I need. I am currently trying to raise funds to cover the costs of getting to my local appointments, but my ultimate goal is to travel to Arizona to get a second opinion at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (City of Hope). When you’re fighting for your life, you want to make sure you’ve explored every possible option and have the best experts in your corner. This trip to Arizona is my chance to find the best path forward, but between travel costs, lodging, and the medical expenses that are already piling up, I can’t do it alone. How your donation will help: • Travel & Transport: Helping me get to my current local appointments and funding the trip to Arizona. • Medical Consultations: Assisting with the costs associated with seeking a second opinion. • Daily Expenses: Helping me manage bills while I focus entirely on my health and recovery. I know times are tough for everyone, and asking for help isn’t easy. If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this page with your network. Anything—literally anything—helps me get one step closer to the answers and treatment I need. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for keeping me in your thoughts. With gratitude, Jordan (Kai)
