Hello All, I met Brian and Debbi after I joined the GOATs with Southwest Airlines, I started this meal/everything train because I want to relieve some of what’s on Debbi’s plate…if she can continue to put one foot in front of the other with a smile on her face, maybe we can help with some meals. Brian wants her by his side at all times which makes getting groceries and cooking very hard. After 2 long years of radiation and chemo treatments for Brain and his spine cancer the difficult decision was made to stop the chemo as they were no longer helping curb this terrible disease. Thus began the journey into hospice care. Brian has declined over the past 3 weeks and has lost the ability to move or even sit up. He is currently bed ridden and can no longer communicate or lift his arms or head. He has remained at home and Debbi is currently his full time care giver. Hospice nurses, Dr.’s and aids come in daily. Debbi and Brian are now taking things day by day as Brian can no longer be left alone. Meals are extremely helpful as Debbi is constantly by Brian’s side.
