On March 6th, in less than 24 hours after facing basement flooding from a heavy storm in Pickaway County, our neighbors Robert and Amy experienced even greater devastation when Robert was rushed to the hospital after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. He is currently in the ICU as his brain and body fight to heal. At this time, Robert is unable to move the left side of his body, and the road ahead remains uncertain. Robert and Amy share a young daughter, along with Amy's two oldest children; one of whom is currently serving in the U.S. Military. Their family is managing flood damage at home while going back and forth to be at Robert's bedside in the hospital. Robert's recovery will require extensive rehabilitation and ongoing care. The combined burden of ICU costs, future rehab, and flood damage is immense. As his neighbors, we can vouch that Robert is the kind of man who takes care of everyone and everything. While caring for his own family, he has always showed up for each of our families in times of need. Not only does he care for people, but in the warmer months, he was always out watering the plants, keeping the lawn immaculate, and making sure the American flag on their porch flew freely. It is our turn to care for Robert and his family. We have set up a meal train for them, as well as a separate 'GoFundMe' page. Every dollar donated goes directly toward Robert's medical bills & rehabilitation, and every meal helps Amy keep things together for their children during the hardest season of their lives. If you can give, share, or simply send a kind word, it all matters. Thank you for your support! -The Collins Crew (The Keefe, Taylor, Schott, and Roach families)
