Support for Kayla Irwin and family while she recovers from brain surgery

W
Story

Kayla Irwin will undergo surgery on Thursday, July 9 at the University of Michigan Medical Center to repair two brain aneurysms. She has five children at home; her oldest son, who is 18, will be caring for mom and also helping with the younger children while she recuperates. The other children are 15, 13, 5, and 2.

Special Notes

There is a need for help with groceries and meals as well as help with care for the younger children. Hanging out with the two young ones at their apartment or even taking them to the park and letting them run around a bit would take a lot of stress off of Kayla and the older kids. Little ones don't want to be cooped up all day when the weather is nice! Times listed are not set in stone and can be flexible. Meals should feed four adults and two children (teens eat a LOT!) Please bring meals in disposable containers that do not need to be returned to you. Disposable plates, etc. are also helpful.
