I was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 15 while facing a big challenge I was having to move out by July 1st due to a negligent landlord. I was homeless for a month while I couch surfed on my son’s couch. I was facing one of the scariest words I’ve had to hear “Your test is positive for breast cancer”. So while searching for a home after pretty much having to get rid of everything I own, I’m going to appointments trying to find out what life has in store medically. I moved in my place with what I had left of my belongings still not having basic necessities. I had breast cancer surgery August 13 so I’m healing from that. Yesterday I got my treatment plan which is going to consist of chemotherapy, radiation and endocrine therapy. So I have a long road ahead of me but I’m going to kick cancers ass!
The doctors suggest I do the Mediterranean diet while fighting cancer as it holds the most benefits. Also, while going through chemotherapy I want be able to socialize that much and have to be super careful not to get sick with the compromised immune system.
