Our dear friend Jackie has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. As she bravely steps into this fight, our primary goal is to surround her with the deep love, comfort, and practical support she deserves. Cancer treatment is a marathon, not a sprint. To help ease the daily load, we are setting up this Meal Train so Jackie and her husband, Kelly, don't have to worry about planning or cooking dinner. Kelly is standing fiercely by Jackie's side as her partner and caregiver, and he carries a heavy weight right now too; supporting him means supporting Jackie. Also holding down the home front are their beloved dogs, Redford and Sundance, who are offering plenty of loyal, furry comfort through all of this. How You Can HelpSign up for a meal: Pick a date on the calendar to drop off a dinner. Please check any noted dietary preferences or restrictions before preparing your meal. Drop-off details: Meals can be dropped off seamlessly on the porch to give the family privacy and rest when they need it most. Send a handwritten card: Jackie has mentioned how much a personal, handwritten note means to her right now. Dropping a card in with a meal—or mailing one directly—is a wonderful way to send customized, heartfelt encouragement. Support Kelly too: A quick text, a check-in, or an encouraging word for Kelly goes a long way in letting him know he is seen and supported during this time. Thank you for loving Jackie, Kelly, Redford, and Sundance so well. Let’s show them they are not fighting this alone.
When visiting their house, Sundance and Redford get very excited so it is best to take a couple of treats to help. Settle them down.
