Please help support Nurse Debbra Tyson in her battle against metastatic ovarian cancer. Deb is a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and great aunt. Some know her as Nurse Debbie, Deb or Debbra. All of us who know Deb and whose life she’s touched whether directly or indirectly will never think of Deb without seeing her contagious smile, her face that lights up a room, her spontaneous giggle and her bubbly personality. Deb will literally give the shirt off her back if she can. Deb has taken care of so many other others, countless patients and their families, family members who fell ill, as well as coworkers, her work family and all of us who became her friends. Deb always puts in the extra mile to help her patients, family, coworkers, friends and anyone she can. Really, Deb has the kindest soul and softest heart that we have ever known. Deb was a long time stakeholder at CTCA, now known as City Of Hope, caring for thousands of patients and their families over her more than 30 year nursing career. She has done everything from ER (emergency room), ICU (intensive care unit), PACU (pre/post anesthesia care unit and stem cell transplants to radiation oncology nursing and nursing supervision. Deb has worked up until her ER visit and diagnosis on February the first, taking care of patients. Deb has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer that has already metastasized to multiple organs and throughout her abdomen, liver and lungs. Deb needs to get back to her roots of CTCA, now known as City Of Hope, to have access to treatments to help her fight her extensive cancer diagnosis. Deb has dedicated her life to the fight against cancer and has seen many miracles throughout her career so let’s help her find one of those for herself. Please find it in your heart to help Deb come back to a place that can offer her “hope”, which is exactly what she will experience at City Of Hope. Debbie will need some nutritious meals to keep her energy up throughout her treatment regime. Ron is her husband and is diabetic. Debbie usually prepares all meals and watches his blood sugar. She will need help from us to reduce stress by providing low carb, high protein, and nutritious meals and snacks. Let's join together to make sure their tummys are full and happy! If you can't help, please share! 💚
Debbie hates mushrooms and loves veggies. Ron is not very picky. He loves sweets but is diabetic so desserts should be made with low sugar or Sugar substitute. Debbie loves pizza!
