We are reaching out to rally around our dear friend, Christine Baker, as she prepares to undergo a hysterectomy on November 12, 2025. As many of you know, this surgery has been a difficult, yet necessary, decision after months of dealing with ongoing physical struggles. She has shared that facing this situation again has left her feeling physically and emotionally drained. Our friend's heart is set on the Lord, and her most humble request remains your prayers. She is seeking peace of mind, trusting that this decision is in alignment with God’s perfect will for her life. She reminds us to stand on these beautiful promises: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” (Isaiah 26:3) And, "We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28) Let us continually pray against any anxiety or overthinking, asking that the Lord wraps her in His supernatural peace as the date approaches and during her recovery. Practical Support: A Gift of Rest The journey of recovery from major surgery requires profound rest—not just physical, but mental and emotional rest as well. We have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ by lifting the burden of cooking and meal preparation from Christine and her family during this time. Providing a meal is a tangible way we can fulfill the command to bear one another's burdens and allow her to focus entirely on healing. It is a practical expression of the love of God working "together for good" in her life. We have set up this Meal Train to coordinate nourishment and care for the weeks following her surgery. Thank you for your faith, your prayers, and your willingness to serve. Whether you pray a specific prayer for her peace, or drop off a simple dish, every act of love matters deeply.
