We drove to salt lake on Feb 11th 2026 to see the orthopedic doctors at the orthopedic surgical center. After going through a lengthy consultation with the surgeon, she stated that koltter does have some herniated disk and due to all of the neurological systems he had been experiencing (dizziness, loss of balance, needing help to bathe, help to eat, ect) she would not feel comfortable doing surgery at this point. She said that she would give us a referral for a mri at home and if we could get things figured out she would be happy to fix him up. We left to go eat and were planning on heading home the next day. We were eating dinner and i got a call from her stating that she had spoken with the neurological team at the university of utah and we needed to go check in at the er for a evaluation. We checked in at 530pm and by 230 am we were being admitted to a room. The neurological team here has not stopped with mris, pet scans, blood work, ekgs, emgs, xrays and on and on. Two days ago koltter started having seizures and they say that there is two types of seizures hes having, hes having the two grand mal seizure we can see and be with him through and hes having more random seizures in his left shoulder. Koltter is pretty unresponsive and he is now on a feeding tube, the doctors this morning told his dad and I they are still waiting for results from mayo and that as fast as things have declined we do need to brace for the worst, and that its possible we could end up in icu. Please keep our family in your prayers and if at all possible please help out our family at home, this is so hard on a mom's heart not to have my family together 💔
