On the morning of March 12th, our dear friend, Deborah Deringer's grandson, Mason Scott French, suffered a life-altering seizure and had to be taken by helicopter to VCU Children's Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mason is an adorable 4-year-old boy who has been living with a rare condition since birth called Smith-Kingsmore Syndrome. www.rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/smith-kingsmore-syndrome. He has overcome many obstacles in his short life; however, Mason passed away, in the arms of his mother with his father by his side, the evening of March 13th.
